せっかくレンズを買うなら写真だけでじゃなくて動画撮影にも強いレンズが欲しいなあ。
ここ2、3年で急激に増えた動画の需要と撮影機器の進化により、個人でも高品質な動画撮影と編集ができるようになってきました。
特に最近発売されたソニーのミラーレス一眼カメラ「a6600」は、写真も動画にも素晴らしい性能を備えていますが、レンズ選びは意外に難しいものです。
そんな中オススメしたいのが動画撮影に特に威力を発揮するレンズ「SELP18105G」です。
動画ファンの人ならこのレンズの評判を聞いたことがある人も多いはず。
私も愛用するこのレンズ、早速紹介していきましょう。
ソニーAPS-Cセンサー用レンズ「SELP18105G」はどんなレンズ？
「E PZ 18-105mm F4 G OSS」商品概要
正式名所は「E PZ 18-105mm F4 G OSS」と呼ばれるレンズで、広角端18mm～望遠端105mm（フルサイズ換算27mm〜157.5mm）の標準ズームレンズ。
通称「SELP18105G」と呼ばれています。
レンズの重量もほどほどで万能に使えるレンズなので、ソニーのAPS-C用カメラ用レンズの最初の一本として有力。
「a6400」「a6500」そして最新の「a6600」で動画を撮影する場合の必須と言ってもいいです。

パワーズーム装備で動画に最適な神レンズ
「SELP18105G」はパワーズームを搭載しているため。ワンタッチでスムーズなズームを行う事ができます。
自分でズームリングを回す事も可能できますが、動画撮影時に一定の速度を保ちながのズームはマニュアル操作では難しい。
そんな時も「SELP18105G」のパワーズームだと一定の速度で安定したズームや引きが可能。
ズームの速度も度合いが調整ができるので、ゆっくりとズームしたり引いたりと映画のような撮影もできて、これはソニーのハンディカムで培った「軸吊り構造」とい技術を採用したことにより実現しています。
またこのレンズが動画向きな理由として、インナーズームのためレンズの伸び縮みがなく普通ジンバル撮影の時にレンズが伸び縮みする度に行う必要があるバランンス取り作業がいりません。
レンズが伸び縮みしない点は、ジンバルでの撮影時にはめっちゃありがたい！
つまり動画撮影中にズームが自由自在ながらジンバルに乗せてもバランスが崩れない点が、この「SELP18105G」が動画撮影にとって神レンズといわれる所以です。
Ｆ4通しでどの焦点距離でも安定した画質
ズームレンズはF値が3.5-5.6など、望遠側にするとF値が上がり暗くなりますが、「SELP18105G」はF値がF4固定なので、撮影時に焦点距離によらず露出（シャッタースピード、ISO）を一定に保つことができます。
初心者の方のためにもう少し具体的に説明します。
望遠側にするほどF値が上がる（暗くなる）
→シャッタースピードやISOを調整（露出調整）
F値が常にF4のため、望遠側にしても暗くならない
→シャッタースピードやISOは一定（露出が一定）
露出が安定すると、色々な焦点距離、シーンにおいて安定した撮影がしやすいです。
私の作例です。無加工ですが発色もまあまあかなと思います。
フルサイズと比べるとさすがに若干ノイジーですが望遠端でボケ感も良い感じに出ていて、私のようなSNS等での配信がメインのアマチュアには充分のクオリティです。
さすがの純正Gレンズというところです。
次は運動会でのワンシーンです。
周辺のゆがみが気になるというレビューもありますが、私のようなアマチュアレベルでは全く気になりません。
いい感じにボケて静止画でも普通以上の写りをするという印象です。
次の写真は深夜の室内、LED白色灯の下です。
ISOが6400とかなり上がってますので、少しノイジーですが広角端18ｍｍと望遠端105ｍｍです。
室内灯ということもあり、さすがに望遠端の方は四隅の甘さが少し目立ちますね。
OSS搭載で手振れ補正もOK
OSSとは「Optical Steady Shot」の頭文字で、ソニーの手振れ補正技術のことです。
この手振れ補正機能は動画撮影において特に重要度が高いです。
写真撮影の場合はシャッタースピードを速くすることで手振れの対処ができますが、動画撮影の場合はシャッタースピードは基本固定する必要があります。
その点「SELP18105G」はレンズに手振れ補正機能があり、「α6500」や「α6600」といった手振れ補正機能を搭載しているカメラと併用するとすこぶる相性が良いです。
特にジンバルを所持していない人には重宝する機能だね。
5万円代で買えるGレンズ「SELP18105G」
2013年発売と6年以上も前のレンズなのに実勢価格は50,000円前後とほぼ値落ちがなく、今だに脅威的な人気の「SELP18105G」。
価格.comの最安値を調べてみると48,780円でした。
発売から６年以上も経ってこの値段なのは、このレンズがいかに人気が高いかという裏付になっています。
そもそもこの価格帯でＧレンズが手に入れられるのも神コスパです。
「α6600」も発売されてこのレンズの需要はこれからも続くと思うので、動画に注力したい人は早めに手に入れるのが良いでしょう。
「SELP18105G」の注意点
「SELP18105G」にもいくつか弱点があります。
デメリットを踏まえた上で購入を検討できるように、「SELP18105G」の弱点を確認してみましょう。
最短撮影距離が長く寄れない
「SELP18105G」は最短撮影距離が45cmm、最大撮影倍率も0.11倍とあまり寄れず被写体を大きく映せないです。
最短撮影距離が長いので、例えばテーブル上の料理を座ったまま撮影してインスタにアップ、という用途では座ったままではピントが合わずシャッターが押せなかったりします。
また最大撮影倍率0.11倍ということはセンサーに描写される大きさは実際の被写体の大きさの11％なので、テーブル上の被写体を大きく写すことには不向きです。
「SELP18105G」はテーブルフォトには向いていないレンズと言えるかもしれません。
F4は暗所では若干暗い
「SELP18105G」はF値が4.0通しで非常に便利ですが、欲を言えばF2.8通しくらい欲しいところ。
私も夜のスナップではシグマのF1.4の単焦点レンズを愛用しますが、やはりF値1.4とF値4ではその移りは全然違ってきます。
夜景撮影や暗い所での撮影となるとF4はやや暗いかなと思いますが、昼間は問題ありません。
「SELP18105G」の仕様でF2.8で全域通せると最高ですが、値段を考えるとそこは仕方がないかな。
ジンバルとの併用は要確認
APS-C用としては427ｇと重い部類になる「SELP18105G」。
この重量はジンバル運用時に少し問題です。
例えばジンバルの第一人者、ユーチューバーでもある「よっちゃん」さんが、「α6500(α6400)」と「SELP18105G」との組み合わせで最強と謳っているの「PILOTFLY トラベラー」というジンバル。
この「PILOTFLY トラベラー」で運用すると考えた時、「α6500」と可能な組み合わせは主に以下になります。

「SELP18105G」以外は総重量で800g以下になるので大丈夫ですが、問題なのが「α6500」や「α6600」と「SELP18105G」の組み合わせは800g以上になるという点。
「PILOTFLY トラベラー」をはじめとしたコンパクトジンバルが主流の現在、この重量は少し気になります。
せっかくAPS-Cサイズのカメラなのにコンパクトなジンバルに載せれないとなるとちょっと運用的にはマイナスかな。

結論からいうと、「PILOTFLY トラベラー」で「a6500」と「SELP18105G」は問題なく運用が可能で、かつ一番使い勝手の良い最高の組み合わせ（ただしあくまで自己責任）とのことです。
